Clinker

Clinker is the main intermediate product in cement manufacturing, consisting of small, hard, dark grey nodules formed by heating limestone and clay to high temperatures in a kiln. When these nodules are ground into a fine powder and mixed with gypsum, they produce cement, which is used to make concrete and other building materials.
